2021 - The Best Year Yet
To say that 2021 was an amazing year is a giant understatement. 2021 was one of the THE SCARIEST BEST YEARS YET. But I assure you there was nothing easy about it. From, Breaking Bland airing on HGTV, to taking on a business partner in Queen & Knox, to continued group support through 100 Days of Positive Change, to entering the next chapter of my life (the 40’s), to my sweet family absolutely kicking-ass... 2021 was one for the books, and it would not have been as excellent without my family, friends, teams, and Breaking Bland lovers.
Breaking Bland was a wonderful opportunity for me to share my designs and make some pretty incredible connections along the way. If I am being honest, I didn’t know how the show was going to be perceived, I honestly thought that maybe I was a little too much for TV, but turns out some of y’all like weirdo’s and I love you all for that.
My favorite part of Breaking Bland was seeing all of my clients faces when we revealed their new homes. I mean, I was TERRIFIED before each reveal but those faces absolutely made my heart melt and what drive me to keep on keeping on. I try my best to uplift and inspire people through my work and Breaking Bland provided the perfect opportunity to reach people on a greater scale – I’m forever grateful.
In addition to Breaking Bland, my family took every chance we could get to live life and soak up each other. I freaking live for these crazy humans. From Disney with Punky, to surfing, to milestone birthdays for both my mom and dad, to baptizing Micky, to our annual family lake trip, to finally watching my husband perform again, to another year of memories with my grandmother while we still mourn my Papaw, to Micky talking in full sentences, and Punky playing football with the boys. Every day isn’t always the best day but a wise woman once said:

All-in-all, 2021 was full of new and ever evolving experiences. It taught me SO much and that’s what makes this life so f*ing awesome. LFG 2022! We have more life to do. Much love y’all!
